Night Lights

It was another beautiful day here in Auckland and the spectator boats started streaming out to take up position around the perimeter of the course from midday.  There was a steady procession of boats out on the water for about three hours.
It was a manic day in the Cup Village with literally thousands of people piling in to cheer Team NZ as they docked out, and to enjoy the atmosphere and the excitement of being part of the event. It is 3 all after today’s races - nail biting stuff, and definitely not good for the blood pressure.
We were still taking photos and chatting to people until almost 9pm, when it was dark and getting cold.  All good fun.
The photo is of the Viaduct Basin with the CBD buildings in the background and Sky Tower all lit up for the occasion.
