Socially Distanced Hobbling

It should have been the annual Shamrock Shuffle this weekend when local runners take to the St Ives Estate for a 5k run in aid of Manorlands Hospice.  Sadly, the present situation has pushed the event online with folks doing their own thing in their own time to support the event.  Seven Hobblers met briefly at the cricket field start before heading off up the very long hill, in pairs or singly as restrictions allow.

It is a Shamrock Shuffle tradition that the wind blows and the rain comes down, and it was no different today.  There were large puddles to run through and plenty of mud to cope with, but we were undaunted.  On our return we called in at the new Bakehouse for takeaway hot chocolate and very naughty cakes before going our separate ways.  Hopefully it won't be too long before we can recommence our regular group runs as I certainly miss the company of these fab women.
