In the park

Today's music session was hosted by our eldest member, one of the founders of the music group. He lives beside the Phoenix Park, and I was early enough in the neighbourhood to haver some time for a bit of a stroll. The weather was delightful. Bright and warm, with the first hint of a possible end to winter dreariness. The Park was really busy, with lots of people swarming all over the Wellington Monument, playing sports, walking, cycling, and lounging around. This little group were more organised than most, and even brought their own chairs with them. Once again I thought how nice it would be to visit the Zoo some time soon, but that will have to wait for another time.

Next Tuesday is the 25th Anniversary of the death of George Frederick Handel, so today's session was dedicated to him. It was a small turnout, with some members away for Easter, and others working. Still we had an enjoyable session. A few of us went on to a local pub for a pint and a chat afterwards. The rest of the day was lazy and uneventful.
