Historic Ashfield

This Victorian stone villa at 1 Ashfield Road, Milngavie was built in the middle of the 19th century as a home for two related families, with an outside stair at the back giving separate access to the  first floor flat. In more recent times it has been converted to a medical practice. The cottage on the right at the top of the road is the original farm cottage of Ashfield Farm called Corbie Ha'. Possibly, it is the oldest remaining house in the village (dated 1813), and in use today as the home of Milngavie Pipe Band. It contains a collection of old Milngavie photographs on its walls, with access by the public on September's Doors Open Day.

Extra: A screen shot from Venice Live Cam - Rialto Bridge in Live Streaming at 16.47.24.
A sobering sight to see this tourist spot virtually deserted on a Sunday afternoon.  You can watch this live scene (with Vivaldi music) 24/7 on YouTube.
