Mallards on Mallards Lake

The last full on day with Doreen as she had more physio this morning and the second visit to the eye clinic this afternoon. There was good news in that she didn’t seem to need the laser treatment she was expecting.

In between time we walked our regular Monday route into and around Mote Park via the aptly named Mallards Lake where today’s MonoMonday shot was taken. It seems a shame not to see these drakes in their best plumage. However, I always love the ripple effects of water. Thanks for hosting Beckett.

While Susan was at the hospital and with her mum at home I did our shopping, rang around a few care homes, cooked dinner and had a bit of a practice on the Uke. We’re looking to the coming weeks and months ahead if Doreen cannot live on her own any longer and we haven’t found a house. It’s challenging as we do need to physically see care homes which is challenging in the circumstances. You can’t make a decision from a virtual tour.
