Day 360 Dip dyed

As promised yesterday here are the results of dipping the stems of two nearly white daffs into tubes of coloured water.  The one on the right was dipped only in red.  The one on the left had the stem split with half in yellow and half in blue.  I was very interesting to see the path that the water takes:  clearly it goes to the petal tips first.  I was quite surprised that the other flower wasn't more evenly green but the two colours remained largely separate.

In other news: there is no news of any real significance as we plod on towards the first anniversary of the original lockdown last year.  Perhaps the most interesting thing that happened to me today was that a PVC coated tablecloth that I had ordered arrived and the colour was very different from the internet picture and not in a good way.  Unfortunately as it is cut specially it cannot be returned.  Lesson learned is always obtain samples before buying....
