Wanderings & Witterings

Dunnock

Another wee drive up to the Greenrig Car Park, this time to walk the waymarked Local History Trail. At only 2.75km it's quite a leisurely meander, but it's one where one can jump 200 years in the space of about five minutes (Battle of Falkirk Muir in 1746 and the Clydebank Blitz in 1941) and later on in the trail the site where some Bronze Age pottery was discovered.

But the best photo I took on the walk was of a couple of dunnocks chirruping away in the spring sunshine. Enjoyed the history aspect of the walk, but that was trumped by the sounds of nature on this occasion.
