Farewell with my besties

The only thing on today’s schedule was a girl’s night out with some of my closest friends here in DB.

We met at McSorley’s Irish pub in the Plaza. It was a lovely gathering and I so enjoyed it. They made me give a speech, which thankfully came quite naturally.

And Laura, our Pastor’s wife prayed over me, right there at the Pub (we sat outside)!

The anxiety that is weighing over me at the moment is my visa, and some of the girls said they’d be happy if it didn’t come through in time, so we could all hang out a bit more ... that was a comforting thought, and I might be okay with that.

Many had to leave to get back to kids, those who stayed carried on to another restaurant for a nightcap.

I have been blessed with some amazing friends/sisters here, and will miss them all. How great is God’s rich tapestry of life that entwines so many lives together.
