The District of Columbia, which has no real Congressional representation, made a case for statehood in the House. The District has more people in this city than some states have but for historic and political reasons does not have a vote in Congress unless the vote would not impact the outcome. Yeah, it is weird.

The President is beginning the push for a massive infrastructure bill, universal prekindergarten, and free community college tuition. The infrastructure aspect would also address climate change. Infrastructure in the US keeps getting a failing grade and has needed to be addressed for a long time. Making this investment at a time of recession would provide valuable stimulus to boost employment and would be cheaper to implement. Improved infrastructure, done well, should reduce greenhouse gas emissions and make economic activity more efficient.

A quarter of the US population has gotten at least one shot of the vaccine.

Lots of lots of news. None of it directly for me.

But I am very glad you liked the pictures of the eagles yesterday.
