Spring Blossom

This Japanese shrub is rather bland for most of the year but in spring produces this wonderful blossom and in autumn its leaves change colour to rich reds and browns. So it heralds the changing seasons at each end of the seasonal cycle.
There has been a cold wind today with heavy rain and hail showers, interspersed with blue sky and sunshine.
Cleaning this morning and various other odd jobs. I have also placed the order for the lean-to pergola that we have been dithering about for many months. It is intended to be the final structural addition to the garden.
