Peaceful

A rather disjointed sort of day. Chris came over for a working lunch to discuss a quote for an entomological survey that had to be prepared at very short notice. After he'd left Pete and I sat down to go through  paperwork that needed to be completed regarding the sale of Molly's house. We soon realised that we couldn't answer all the questions without visiting, so had an afternoon dash to Spalding. Having checked the various details we took the opportunity to bring back some more belongings, including a few plants from the garden.

On our way home we stopped at Deeping Lakes where there had been recent sightings of a Cattle Egret. No luck with that, only Little Egrets along the river, but we had a pleasant walk round appreciating the signs of spring, including some good patches of flowering Primrose, lots of very raucous Black-headed Gulls jostling for nest sites and some rather cute lambs.
