The Sun After A Hard Day's Shining

There were even more signs of spring today; people sitting outside restaurants with cups of coffee, spotted my first Cabrio with the Roof down (it was, naturally, a Mercedes) and I walked home without my jacket on.

The downside to the these beautiful clear days are the really cold nights, there was a real hard frost last night and so the fig and the bay were wrapped up again.

Long day at work, struggling to take in and understand all the info I need. There is so much of it and sometimes I get it completely wrong. Quite stressful. Still, I'm going back tomorrow, so it can't be all bad. Highlight of the work day was a meeting in a circular office with glass walls and a view over the staff restaurant. Very odd.

Those not wishing to attempt the Song Wrestled Into German can look away now. Yesterday's song was Seasons In The Sun (which had a couple of little mistakes with prepositions). I didn't know that it was an adaptation of the Jacques Brel song "Moribond." And here's today's song -

Ich gehe über die Strasse zu ihrem Haus und sie öffnete die Tür
Da stand sie lachen
Ich fühlte das Messer in meiner Hand und sie lachte nicht mehr

I fully expect you to have the chorus in your head for the rest of the evening.

And if you don't have any German, you can use google translate but I can't guarantee that we agree on the translation.
