Kildean Wetlands

The area at Kildean where I often walk the dog is being developed into a wetland habitat by Froglife. It's a big project and if you're interested you can read more here https://www.froglife.org/what-we-do/education/come-forth-for-wildlife/come-forth-for-wildlife-practical-conservation/kildean-wetlands/

Kildean is contained within one of the many loops of the Forth and is usually muddy. We had a great muddy walk and home for one of the banana muffins I made yesterday.

The blip is one of the five ponds which have been created so far. This is the one with the dipping platform. As you see there's also been lots of hedge and tree planting. Kildean is a great spot anyway and this project will diversify the species which call it home.

Today the skylarks were singing clearly. Clocks have gone forward and spring is definitely in the air.
