Knitting the trees

It wasn't my intention to post another of A's items but chatting with friends over zoom this evening the subject of knitting came up, in particular the skill of knitting without a pattern.

This is a jumper that A knitted 'ad lib' many years ago (pre-stroke) and that has always been amazing - especially as every tree is slightly different.
