Spilling Out

Bright white sunlight seemed to spill out of the clouds, silhouetting the dark trees. Shadowy clouds both on the horizon and passing overhead higher up driven by cold winds from the west. Choppy water.

Tried again with exposure bracketing, this time 3 shots on auto, which I think more successful than yesterday's attempt. When the sun is white like this rather than yellow, the bright spots don't appear as distracting, but the overall image has a colder feel (naturally!). And it was cold today!

Until now I've been able to correct wide angle lens distortion when the distant houses lean out left and right in the upper corners. In this image the houses are lower in the frame and all lean left. I shall have to figure that one out.

Posted a catch up for yesterday.
