Diary of an Edinburgher

Blue skies, but overcast...

Archie’s walker, Seren (the vet student), came this morning. She’s off up north to do her ‘practical’ on the same sheep farm that she went to last year - she loved it there and is very much looking forward to helping with the lambing. A nice change from online courses and being stuck in her flat for months on end.

We had blue skies, no wind and warm sunshine all morning! It was so nice to sit out in the front garden, listening to the radio on my earpods while JR did tried a yoga session (boring, she said).

In the afternoon we went up the hill. We haven’t been there for ages, though Archie goes regularly with several of his walkers. By then, the clouds had arrived, but it was still lovely - I even sat on a convenient boulder for a wee while, out of the wind. The calm before the storm, I fear. Cold weather - even snow - is swooping down the whole country.

Sad news: Wee Rufus passed away this morning, in his mum’s arms, on the way to the vet. He was a good age (15) and had a great life, but we’re very upset. Christine will be lost without him, he was such a wee character. We will all miss him. I’ve added some of his best photos (including the birthday hat one, by special request) in Extras.
