Pasque Flower

I've been keeping a watch on my Pasque Flowers and hoping they would be in flower by today, Easter Sunday .... patience has been rewarded!
Warm , sunny weather on Friday and Saturday certainly helped. Conditions very different today ...... very dull and decidedly chilly.

Derived from the Hebrew word for Passover, 'pasakh', the common name pasque flower, refers to the Easter flowering period in the spring.

A lovely Easter Sunday service at church this morning with some great hymns which I confess to singing along with .... but not too loudly!
