Sgwarnog: In the Field

Shadows

The late afternoon light was beautifully clear and led to strong shadows, and warmth in the stone and wood of the old barn.

A light dusting of snow or frost on the rooftops conveyed how the temperature had dipped through the night. A strong wind meant that it didn’t warm up much during the day, despite the sunshine.

At the edge of the woods I bumped into a Goldcrest, the first I’ve seen in a long while.
