Dancing In The Dark

The forecast was for sleet and snow, however, up until late afternoon it was sunny but fresh. Plenty of people out and about today with the lifting of some lockdown restrictions, hairdressers and garden centres reopen, I just lurked around underpasses.

Started reading the first book in "The Laidlaw Trilogy" by William McIlvanney this week, "Laidlaw" was first published in 1977, read it years ago, time to refresh. On the music front I've been listening to a lot of Rufus Wainwright and The National, due to see Rufus at outdoor concert in Kelvingrove Park in August, not holding my breath, cancelled from August 2020.

In other news, man described by his Press Secretary as acting with honesty and integrity, addresses "England" from a £2.6 million car showroom.

And in the end, on this day in 1965, The Beatles began filming the Indian restaurant scene from Help, and George Harrison was introduced to his first sitar, the rest is history.
