Bird Action

82 degrees.  The woods at Frohring Meadows were full of red-bellied woodpeckers today.  They sang. They hammered.  They chased one another.   There was a charming song sparrow in the eastern field performing for the whole world.  At the edge of the shallow marsh, swallows and bluebirds vied for air space and boxes.
