Boat Cove

I went to Dawlish this afternoon. I haven't been to this little harbour behind the sea wall for quite a while because of the work going on to build a new higher sea wall to protect the railway line from storms. I was dreading what the result of all that work might be but I was pleasantly surprised. OK, the lovely Victorian stone facings on the sea wall and surfacing the prom has gone but the new work is quite attractive in it's own way. You can see a previous blip showing the old stonework here.

Anyway, today's blip is a wide angle view of a rowing boat and the old winches on the slipway in a little bit of sunshine that came out briefly.
