St Andrews Cathedral

A small part of the ruined Cathedral. Built in 1158 it became centre of the Medieval Catholic Church in Scotland. It fell into disuse after Catholic mass was outlawed during the 16th century Scottish Reformation. At 119m long it is the largest church to have been built in Scotland.

I had a very, very slow start to the day. Too many aches and pains to get going. When we did get going we went to St Andrews for food shopping. A job I hate, but needs must. I try to only go every three weeks. Of course the pandemic has added another dimension. Thankfully there were very few students around so it felt slightly safer.
Afterwards Geordie and I walked around the Castle and the harbour, and had a look through the gates at the Cathedral.
It was bright and sunny, but the wind felt gale force.
