Life In Wales

Lockdown 3 - Day 97

We left mums about 9.30am as we were due to meet the Estate Agent in Wales at 11am, and not long into our journey it started snowing! Fortunately we drove through it, and it was really sunny in Wales.

We arrived at the house about 10 minutes early, so were waiting outside when the next door neighbour came over and started talking to us.  He seems very nice and introduced himself as Wyn and said his wife is called Jo - at a guess I’d say he’s probably a similar age to us.

We spent an hour at the house measuring up and checking a few things and when we’d finished we drove into Snowdonia.  I’ve seen lots of photos of the famous ‘Lone Tree’ at Llyn Padarn and wanted to go and see it for myself.  It’s only about 30 minutes drive and what a stunning drive it was, with the snow topped mountains, of course we had to stop so I could take some photos (see my extra).

When we arrived at Llyn Padarn, we parked up at the side of the lake and had lunch in Bertie and then went for a walk to find the tree.  I certainly wasn’t disappointed, it’s such a lovely spot and in the distance we could see Mount Snowdon with snow on the top.

We drove back by the scenic route through Snowdonia and as much as I’ll miss Brighton, I’m really looking forward to our new adventures exploring this beautiful area.

We had to pick the boys up from Rachel’s so  we got an Indian takeaway to eat before we set off on our journey back to Brighton.  Alan said he’d rather drive tonight even though we won’t be home until nearly midnight, as it means we have a day off tomorrow rather than spending the day driving again.  It’s now just after 11pm and we’ve got 35 miles to go. We’ll sleep well tonight!
