Glorious morning.

It’s been pretty cold recently, especially overnight and we’ve even had a bit of snow. Last night was another of those cold nights and there was a surprising amount of snow this morning. Darren was up early, as he always tends to be, saw the blue sky and dusting of snow and thought it would probably look nice in the area the photo shows. So we left home at about half 8 and travelled the couple of miles to this location. There was far more snow here than at home, it looked really beautiful. So we walked and Darren took in the views, he thought it looked magical and he was so glad that he’d got up and got out. Fortunately he took his proper camera and managed to get some nice photos and he thoroughly enjoyed his walk. We were here just less than two hours, but in that time the scene changed quite quickly, a lot of the snow you can see in this photo had gone, the shady bits still had it but where the sun was shining it had gone. If Darren had come out an hour or two later he would have missed all this and I’d have missed playing and running in the snow. It pays to get up early sometimes, even on a Sunday.
