Wanderings & Witterings

Seaside

A Sunday afternoon wander along the Bo'ness Foreshore is the nearest I have been to the seaside in some considerable time, and a very welcome and enjoyable excursion it was too.

There are two sculptured 'shelters' along the Foreshore path - the one at the western, or Kinneil, end features images recollecting Bo'ness's mining and industrial past, while that at the eastern, Grangepans, end features the town's seafaring heritage, with lots of images of boats and clouds and gulls and the like. The main photo is a detail from that sculpture, while I've posted the whole as an extra.

A wee change of scenery from my usual haunts along the Forth and Clyde Canal!
