Wound up in Wexford

Cushions in situ

For the first time this year, the weather seemed good enough to put out the cushions I made for Dad's bench during the winter.

If you look at the linked photo which was taken on 15th April 2020, it is really noticeable how much further advanced the plants in this bed were last year  Even today, although the sun was quite warm, there was a distinct nip in the air, and by 4pm it was starting to cool down considerably.

But we did manage (with the help of L, our gardening assistant) to achieve a reasonable amount in the garden, before it got just too cold to be pleasant.  L cut back the plants in the bog area - doing a good job of avoiding the newly sprouting iris.  And I pulled lots of leaves and weed out of the pond with the rake.  W was working on a new fruit cage - we have noticed a regular little bunny visitor to the garden at the moment - protection for the fruit will be even more important this year if he has a family!
