River of Flowers

Tuesday: Last Book & Next Book

Today's gardening job: cut back & dig up Himalayan honeysuckle (Leycesteria formosa) - insects love the flowers, birds love the berries and it self-seeds everywhere.
Same story for the Hypericum which also had to go! Moving an assortment of pots into this space whilst I tidy up other parts of the garden.
Moved some pots out of the greenhouse too.
Last gardening job was to bin all the pea sticks and bamboo from last year, they have become brittle and no good when the wind comes ...
Made a cup of tea and sat outdoors watching the birds, promise of things to come?
Relaxing afternoon watching McLeod's Daughters, then had a stroll round the garden after a very heavy rain shower.
Lifted a few more shallots to use in our omlettes for tea & MrD can make sandwiches tomorrow with corned beef ...!
Glad my "next book" arrived in the post - thank you Kevin!! Didn't have a book to read last night, started listening to one but lost the plot ...
Stay safe & healthy and happy everyone and warm and cosy :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
