Ripples in the Water

Walking the dogs on the canal bank I must have disturbed this grass snake which snuck out from the reeds and sidled, weaving it's way to the other side. 

Ever hopeful that it would return back again I held up the dogs exercise routine and though it did reappear it was just a bit too far away but nice to see after his winter hibernation.
