Ready to Burst

I took a trip out to Winkworth Arboretum to check on the state of the bluebells.  I can report that with barely a hint of blue showing they still have some way to go before reaching the carpet of blue normally expected, as can be seen from an image taken this day in 2014.

One plant which typically flowers much later is the Azalea, and true to form the renown Azalea steps leading up from the lake were distinctly bare, apart from this one plant at the bottom of the steps which is about to burst into bloom.
