Spot the westie

An earlier walk today so we could go along the beach before the tide came in.
A lovely warm day with no wind so the silvery blue sea slid in. We walked almost to our usual spot though the sea had almost reached the rocks. It comes in sideways so there was still plenty of sand to walk back along safely  despite the tide coming in swiftly.
We sat on the rocks above the beach for a while, listening to the gentle lapping of the little waves on the pebbles and enjoying the warm sunshine. Very relaxing.

Back home we contemplated booking a few days away in May at our 'usual place'. (although its 18  months since we were last there!) A  quirky Gothic hotel in  huge woodlands  The hotel was never overcrowded so we felt it would be 'Covid safe' But when I phoned  up I was informed that they were no longer dog friendly. Disappointing!

After an internet search we have found somewhere that may be just as good. In the country and near to the area we wanted to be.
But of course everything is subject to what will happen as a result of relaxing some of of the restrictions, let us hope things dont get worse again.
It would be so nice to have a few days away after 18 months of being at home.

The sun  stayed out so I sat outside and read for a couple of hours.  When I mentioned walkies, Fletch was eager. For once he was haring along rather than his usual slow sniff walk.  Before I realised it we were walking half way down along the causeway by the marsh and then he was at the far end grinning at me!  Good to see him so energetic!

I hope everyone else is well and happy Xx
