Stamford

It was good to go into Stamford today and see the town reasonably busy, people walking around - mostly without nosebags (though they still have to be worn in shops) - and lots of shops open again. Sad, though, to see others standing empty, such as M&Co, having failed to survive the past year's loss of business.

This is the attractive clock tower on Browne's Hospital almshouses, where the flag is flying at halfmast following the Duke of Edinburgh's death five days ago.

Another lovely sunny day, but with a distinctly fresh wind. (My best fitbit day for yonks - all my hourly targets achieved, and over 11,000 steps, and 51 active minutes - only 8 of which were round the shops. Very pleasing!)
