Harold knew that the last few pints had been a mistake, but the joy of being allowed to drink at the pub again after such a long absence had quite gone to his head the night before. What with one thing and another, he'd come back to the nest he shared with Gertrude more than a bit goosed  ....

Harold suspected that it might take him some time to get over the inevitable consequences of his bad behaviour and boy, he was paying for it now.  There certainly weren't any signs of Gertrude forgiving him any time soon.  If only he could remember where they had put the paracetamol.
