Ants in his pants

Salty being a bit of a dirty old bird,  rather liked a little snackerel of ants in the late afternoon, before it was finally time to settle down for the night. 

Doris being a much cleaner bird, wasn't quite so convinced that the process involved in attracting  the ants in the first place was that hygienic, and looked on disapprovingly.

Some lesser blackbacked gulls seem to be regular visitors to our neighbours roof.  I am rather hoping they don't decide to settle down and raise a brood, as they will be a blessed nuisance if they do.
