One Dead and One Alive

The first Early Spider Orchids have had a struggle to get going in our little village reserve. The first flowers that came out were covered in snow, then they were frost burnt as you can see in the lower flower here. People come from all over Switzerland to see these extraordinary little flowers that are quite rare here. There was someone from Neuchatel today, I saw him poking bits of wood in the ground and nearly accosted him! He was simply setting up his lighting attached to the pieces of wood to take better photographs!
