Snake's Head

Fritillaria Meleagris, commonly called snake's head fritillary. It is one of my favourite plants, perhaps because in is so understated and, compared with other spring plants, unobtrusive but confident in its shape and form.
Another beautiful sunny day, so we enjoyed a later and longer walk this morning.
The amazing news is that I have had my haircut. It is not much shorter but has been shaped and styled so we will see how that goes. At least it feels better. I also managed to pot on the chillis, sweet peppers and aubergines and cleared the grass that has started to grow over the gravel path around one side of the vegetable beds ready for installing the metal edges.
