Fun Day in Bailbrook

Grace was off into Bristol again this morning for an appointment so I helped with Jude’s breakfast and then when she went off for a nap Eda and I did some puzzles. I spotted this Angelina Balerina book in a help yourself box yesterday. It had 6 complete puzzles in it and Eda could do them all.  It was warm outside on the terrace so she took out her paw patrol characters and vehicles and daddy’s Fisher Price garage and had a lovely time playing away with them. (One of her favourites at the moment) Jude played on her jungle mat when she woke up and had such a good time her hair stood on end!

The big event was letting the cats out for the first time since the move. Raya was fairly reluctant and didn’t go far but Jengi explored the whole garden and the ones either side and even went up on the roof of the porch. There was a bit of a stand off with local cats through the gate but all ended well and they went back inside and have been in and out all day. It was good as we could leave the doors open and get rid of the cat litter.

We had coffee and cake outside and when Grace returned (with my camera - thank you Grace) Eda had her finger nails painted to match mummy’s.

Chris was gardening as he had been to get some mulch from the garden centre and John was doing a few jobs indoors including putting Eda’s bookcase on the wall in her bedroom.

Lunch outside and then Jude’s afternoon nap after which Grace, Eda, Jude and I set off to do the Bailbrook Trail, just a short walk but we’d only just got around the corner when we got chatting to more neighbours who decided to walk with us as they felt the route was better done the other way around. With a little girl of four Eda had a great time. We ended up in woods with the biggest badger sett I’ve ever seen.

When we got back John had done some tree lopping on a tree that overhangs the back of the house in the field behind them.
So an all round good day and a lovely evening with balloons again, so supper outside, think this will be the norm whenever the weather allows.
