Yorkshire Air Ambulance

I was just about to start making lunch when a helicopter flew very low over the house...then an ambulance screamed past the front of the house, lights on and sirens blaring.

Popped out to the garage to get something and one of the neighbours was out...gesticulating up the road, saying that the air ambulance had landed close by. I nipped through the fence behind the house (with my camera of course) to see the air ambulance parked in the field.

The crew returned in a few minutes, thankfully with no patient, and it lifted off and flew right over me.

No idea what the call out was for, or if the road ambulance was needed for someone...nothing on the village bush telegraph yet.

Sad news from our daughter today - she had to put to sleep their eldest dog, Fudge. He was an old boy and the last, and smallest, of our lurcher gang
