Monday Morning Mooring

We headed over to Glen Brerechan this morning to continuation our explorations of the moors on the right hand side of the road as you head towards Kirkmichael.

T  spotted a herd of 30 plus deer  - they were well camouflaged, blending in with the heather and it took me a few minutes to make them out. They watched us back in return and then headed off.  We made our way up the the treeline and then headed over to the path we'd taken a couple of weeks earlier. This involved a mile or so of trudging through heather. It was work but rewarding with great views all round as we were at a reasonable height.  Our route took us underneath Carn na h-Elrig (Carn of the deer run) which was rather appropriate. Just over 5 miles in total. A good start to the week.

Enjoyed watching both Call the Midwife and Line of Duty in real time last night and following both on Twitter. I suppose this is what passes as a communal experience these days.
