It’s All Kicking Off

Huge news has been circulating since Sunday. Not that Russia has invaded Ukraine, well not yet, despite troops massing apparently, nor that Iran has retaliated against anyone (hmmmm) for the latest piece of sabotage against their entirely peaceful nuclear enrichment facility, no no. 
Six of the top Engleesh football clubs want to set up some European Super League!! There, they will play with “top” elite Spanish and Italian clubs for huge amounts of filthy global TV money. Forever. No relegation for those boys. Needless to say everyone is against it apart from the owners and the shadowy moneybags men behind them. And I mean, Spurs? Seriously? Oh, and Mourinho got the sack again.   
That aside, a quite productive day, powering through my to-do list, casting my postal vote and having a chat with my pontoon neighbour Trev. We’ve all to clear off by the weekend, so we swap contact details and agree to meet for a beer. I wonder if he likes talking about football?
