Blossom

The beautiful pink cherry blossom in the Meadows is running late this year, although it should arrive in the next few days if the weather behaves.

In contrast, the less showy blossom on the small trees planted a few years ago in Quartermile is able to take the spotlight at the moment. Apart from my illegally planted daffodils, this white blossom is almost the only thing to break the monotony of everything green as far as the eye can see.

I had a chilly walk round the marches this afternoon (feeling colder than 11° I have to say, )while checking on the cherry trees and there was one whose buds had just blossomed. Not long now until there is a blossom bonanza.
