Little Grebe

After having 4 continuous days of day trips, we decided upon a much quieter day today. In the morning, we had a leisurely stroll around Sainsburys and did the main weekly shops and then had a lovely hour with my parents in their garden as we dropped off their supplies. 
After lunch we went for a short walk around Spike Island, but there weren't any new birds but I liked this shot of a little grebe. 

Later in the day when the heat had almost gone out of the sun, hubby did a couple of hours of digging up geraniums and roots and I planted out the sweet peas in the hope that they actually do something. They have not really put on any growth for some time, so maybe they were just too pot bound and needing some new space and feed.
