time

a great start to friday:
God
good breakie
chat with charlie
finished my mothers day card
productive sesh of work

but then i hit a brick wall (not literally)
our CU had a lunchbar about the 'Pursuit of Happiness - Does living for pleasure really satisfy?'
and we were flyering to get people to come along and i really felt like i was talking to people who really didnt care about God or free food or anything really. they walked straight past the offer of a free lunch and i felt dejected! friends i had personally invited either declined my invite or totally ignored it.
it made me ask myself and God:

what will make people want to hear about God, or turn their eyes to Him?

then as i asked myself that, a guy i had never seen before, walked into the room where we were having the lunchbar and sat down and was waiting for the talk to start. everyone else in the room i knew pretty well and so was really excited to see a new face.
it was great to hear his questions after the talk and hear where he was coming from.
God really lifted my spirits.

the rest of the afternoon was spent with a beautiful lady called Lauren
we laughed and drank tea (hot water for me) and chilled out
we talked for 2 hours straight!!!
and it was great!

then i had a bit of alison time in Starbucks (Yes, mr DD, they do good cookies!)
writing a journal of the past few weeks in the life of Alison.
and looking out the window at the rain pelt down and car lights blur down the street.
it was valuable time.
