Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

It’s been rainy and windy!

I think today is the last day to catch the current streaming Seattle Opera Production of  British composer Jonathan Dove’s   “Flight”, first performed at Glyndeborne in 1998.  Totally restaged from its original plans , now filmed at the Museum of Flight, with  a “real” control room and a runway with planes arriving and a perfect double stairway for distance keeping for this story of the refugee stranded in the airport for so long.  The setting was the best part for me.   But it’s just not the same without being in the opera house with live music.  There are many things that I’ve liked better on the computer/tv in my own home…like art lectures…but the opera isn’t one.
