Excitement in the house as we decide to spend the day at the beach... "Yes!" shouts 2 year old Thomas throwing his arms in the air! (So cute!) Josh the 5 year old is enthusiastic too!

We park, lay claim to an area of beach and walk to the far away sea, which quickly turns into running. But the closer Josh gets to the water, the more reluctant he seems and by the time we're there he doesn't want anything to do with it and keeps repeating that he wants to go home. 

Luckily Thomas is only just 2 and doesn't object to walking back up the beach, and we manage to persuade Josh to spend a bit of time in the play area en route to the car. After which both children were happy to go back home, collecting fish and chips on the way. The adults were quite happy too, the wind was freezing and I'd put shorts on!
