Recycled

It's been a bitty day, catching up with small things at home, mostly. I did pop across to Jack and Marianna's to say goodbye to M's Mum Liana - she'll be flying back to Greece tomorrow. But we're hoping that she'll be back in a few weeks' time for another visit, this time with M's Dad - Yannis - too.

The photos are of a small pot that I keep in my study, made of paper that's been neatly folded and pressed into strips.  These have then been glued together tightly. The shape and the colours make it a small source of fascination to all 3 grandkids.  The lid is in the main picture, and the whole thing is  in the extra.  It makes a surprisingly strong structure. If you enlarge the extra, you can just make out fragments of print.  It is an elegant model of recycling.

I think that to judge from the tiny lines of visible script, Ruth may have brought this home from a trip she made to Nepal, more than 10 years ago.
