Keeping the bridge.

Another trip to Larch Cottage Nurseries.  We didn't need anything but a wander round the gardens and a coffee makes a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.  Because of the Covid one way system you arrive first at the tables for the café, so of course a coffee was the first item on the agenda.  Being outside the visits by the Blackbird, Bantams and cat added interest.

From the café you come to the bridge over the pond, where sits this formidable reptile.  If he were mine I would be unable to resist calling him Horatius from Thomas Babington Macaulay's poem.   Where Spurius Lartius and Herminius are I don't know.

I know I said we needed nothing but we came away with another Hellebore for the collection and Sweet peas for "The Mate".  Kanyl managed to resist buying plants, Clickychick clearly doesn't have his will power.
