LAST DAY OF APRIL 2021: Dahlia to the Rescue

My seedlings are starting to bloom.  This DAHLIA  was given to me by my neighbor who is a young, enthusiastic gardener.  I gave her
Borage & Giant Dill.  I have not grown DAHLIAS before, but I am now smitten.

Many years ago, when we lived in Cincinnati, Ohio (US) we visited a city park.  Part of the park was a flower bed planted by the DAHLIA SOCIETY.
It seemed each member had a section of the flower bed; & they planted a .
a huge variety of colors & sizes..  There was a flower the size of a dinner plate, as I remember.  Since then I have always wanted to grow DAHLIAS, & now I am.

So many great surprises with these seedlings.
