Gently down the stream

Woolly whopper

Into town this morning to buy extra bits as Sis is coming to lunch on Monday.  Arriving home, who should I see hanging from one of the front steps but this glorious creature.  It's a lime hawk-moth apparently, which makes sense as we have a lime tree out at the front, just now coming into leaf.  These moths fly in May and June, so its timing is spot on.  Wingspan 6.5/7cms - I measured it.  I've never seen one before, have you?

Oh and no bathing my face in dew first thing, FreeSpiral - it was frost!

K is shortly going away for the weekend, back Monday evening, so it's Hazel and me till then.

Have a happy one, dearest peeps  xx
