Mulling over the day

We left home at 7.45am today and arrived back at 8.30pm after a wonderful day on the Isle of Mull, in spite of mixed weather. Lots of sunshine, a very little rain, bit of a breeze - and snow on the hills!  Met up with Daughter One when we disembarked from the 'Coruisk' at Craignure – we haven’t seen her since before Christmas. We then drove northwards to Salen for brunch together.

We drove a few miles further on and enjoyed a walk along the shore road to Aros Castle and back. Back south again to Fishnish and walked through the woods and sat by the beach for a while. Then it was a short drive to Garmony to sit out for a cuppa by the sea - I took this Blip from there. A small river called Allt Achadh na Moine flows under the road and into the sea here. I must remember that place name for a limerick sometime!!

Back to Craignure for a meal in the rather cold Craignure Inn and then boarding the ‘Isle of Mull’ for the 45 minute return to Oban. My extras today are the ‘IOM’ coming into Craignure and a stormy sky on the way home. A good day all round.
