A walk over Warden Hill

Julie came over this morning and we did a circular walk from Warden, up and over Warden Hill and back by High Warden.

The views from the top made it worth while climbing the hill. It was so calm that we had lunch on the top and enjoyed the 360 degree views. We could see rain in the distance, but it never came our way.

My knee isn't great so I was glad of a shorter walk.

We had a swift half at the Boatside Inn. You can see that Humshaugh Bear has had too much of the lager and needs support to stand up!

I'm not a great one for pubs, but it was a delight to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. Everyone was in a good mood and the food looked terrific.

Tonight it was the Virtual Social for the Walking Festival. The numbers were quite low but it was a bit of fun. We had a chance to look at a lot of the photos taken in the course of the week and there were a lot of bear jokes.

My extra is Julie and Humshaugh Bear on top of Warden Hill. He is modelling a little number she made for him and he was wearing it in case it rained.

Julie drove through snow on her way back to Newcastle!!
